Martina McBride receives Female Vocalist of the Year CMA nomination

Martina McBride snagged a CMA Award nomination for Female Vocalist of the Year, but she’s definitely got some tough competition.

Also vying for the top spot is Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift, Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood.

Last year, the category was won by Taylor Swift, who dominated the evening with five wins. This year, the gears have shifted a bit, and Miranda Lambert has made CMA Award history by being the first ever female with 9 nominations.

It’s definitely a night that you won’t want to miss, and it will be again hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. Be sure to tune in to ABC on Nov. 10 as the 2010 CMA Awards air live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
